Silva Guadalupe

Guadalupe Silva Rodriguez Doria, “Lupita”, reunited with God on January 16, 2025. She left peacefully and was surrounded by her loved ones during her passing. 

Lupita was born on December 12, 1929 in San Fransisco, Tamaulipas to Enriqueta Doria and Barbarito Rodriguez. She is preceded in death by both of her parents, her sister (Maria Medina), her brother (Fransisco Doria), her husband (Rogelio Silva Cavazos), and her daughter (Rebeca Castillo). 

She leaves behind her children, Irma Tamez, Rogelio Silva, Juanita Davila, Jacinta Tamez, Silvia Silva, Idalia Vargas, Javier Silva, Jaime Silva, Laura Silva, Veronica Silva, Blanca Molina, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. 

Lupita impacted the lives of any and all she met during her 95 years of life. She blessed us with many unforgettable memories so beautiful words could never fully describe. 

One of her many attributes we all experienced, was her incredible selflessness. She was the type of person who would give her shirt off her back to help someone in need, and this generosity is a quality many of us can only hope to achieve one day. We could all learn a thing or two from her small acts of kindness, such as her insistent offering of food to anybody that visited her. She would quickly make some eggs and beans or some tortillas with salsa, and nothing has ever tasted quite as good.

Moments like this where she could ensure her friends and family were well taken care of, were the little things that would bring joy to her own life and to many of ours as well. 

There is no doubt that Lupita is now resting in paradise, where she can sing, dance, and laugh as if there’s no tomorrow.
