Rose "Rosie" Marie Parrish, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed into Glory surrounded by her family on December 2, 2021, at the age of 74.
She was born to Blas and Josephina Martinez on September 26, 1947, in Houston, Texas. She grew up in the well-known neighborhood of Magnolia. She attended DeZavala Elementary, Edison Junior High, and graduated from Milby High School.
Rosie married Oscar Parrish on March 5, 1976, and raised three loving children. She was an executive secretary for many years until having her youngest daughter and then became a stay-at-home mom.
Rosie had a passion for all types of music and loved to dance. She especially enjoyed watching the Houston Texans, boxing, and listening to the Oldies and Tejano music. She was known for her infectious smile, her positive upbeat personality, and never met a stranger. She always saw the best in everyone, and her grandchildren and grand dogs could do no wrong in her eyes. She loved her husband, children, grandchildren, great children, and all seven of her grand dogs greatly, and was fiercely protective of them all.
Rosie was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her husband Oscar Parrish, Son Michael Esparza and wife Lisa, daughters Jennifer Cantu and husband Randy, and Mary Ann Williams and husband Dale. She is also survived by her grandchildren Matthew Esparza, Michael Esparza, Mark Esparza, Beto Garcia, Adrian Cantu, Andrea Alvarado, and Richard Alvarado; and by siblings Yolanda Galvan, Angie Arguijo, Josie Vasquez, and Joe Martinez.
Rosie is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom she loved very much.
"The family would like to send a special thank you to our mother's provider Laura Jimenez. We will be forever grateful for the amazing care and love she gave our mother. "
