Roberto Villarreal, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 71. He was born on April 16, 1953, in Palacios, Texas, to Ruben Villarreal and Guadalupe Rojas Rocha.
Roberto was a man of unwavering dedication and hard work, providing tirelessly for his beloved family. His commitment and strength were an inspiration to all who knew him. He possessed a quiet dignity and a gentle spirit, always ready with a helping hand and a kind word. He found joy in the simple pleasures. He cherished the tranquility of fishing, finding solace and peace in the quiet moments spent by the water. Most importantly, he reveled in his role as a grandfather, showering his grandchildren with boundless love and attention. Many cherished memories were made fishing with them by the lake or enjoying carefree days at the park. He also had a passion for the game of pool, often demonstrating his skill and enjoying friendly competition.
Beyond his hobbies, Roberto was known for his kindness, generosity and quiet strength. He was a man of few words, but his actions always spoke volumes. His quiet strength and unwavering support were a constant source of comfort to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Roberto is preceded in death by his daughter Veronica Villarreal, son Robert Villarreal Jr.; brother Jesse Villarreal and his parents; He is survived by his children: Melisa Villarreal; Virginia Canales and husband Johnny, Armando Villarreal and wife Monica, Jessie Villarreal and wife Sarah; grandchildren: Monica Rodriguez Peltzer and husband Mike, Michelle Rodriguez and husband Albert Enriquez, Noah Valerio; Robert Mejia, Alejandro Mejia and Zelina Garcia, Mark Anthony Sotol Sierra Soto, Andrew Canales, Anthony Canales, Lauren Canales, Dezlynn Villarreal, Tiffany Villarreal, Isabella Villarreal, Easton, Charlee and Holden Villarreal;
great-grandchildren: Mica Peltzer, Mila Enriquez, Veronica and Victoria Mejia, Leandro Mejia, Jazlynn, Amaya and Andrew Canales, Julian Anthony Canales, Olivia Perez and Ellianna Jasso; siblings Virginia Salazar and husband Martin, Victor Gomez and wife Eloise, Edward Gomez, Dolores Sanchez and husband Domingo, Ruben Villarreal and wife Diane, Hope Acker and husband Tim; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
