Rene Rosendo Garza “aka El Tigre, passed away on October 14, 2021, in Webster, Texas. Rene was born in Reynosa Tamaulipas, Mexico, on March 1, 1954, to Guadalupe Garza and Concepcion Calderon Garza.
Rene worked in a beer distributor named Carta Blanca with his father Guadalupe Garza. He also worked in the P.G.R with Casimiro Espinosa “El Cacho” Luis Enrique Lozano, Ramiro Betancourt, and Ismael García. A good and close friend of his was Ricardo Del Fierro and all the Lozano family. Rene was known in Mexico by “El Patillas & El Tigre “.
He later became resident and resided in the United States in the 1980’s and worked at Brown & Root, Zachary, and Exxon Refinery, where he became disabled in the late 1980’s.
Rene became wheelchair bound but he didn’t not let that stop him. Rene learned and got up and walked again. He enjoyed fishing. Rene especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and taking his trips to visit his family and friends in Mexico. Mr. Rene Garza will dearly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lidia Garza de la Garza, parents, brothers, Eduardo Garza, and Alfredo Garza. Rene is survived by his loving children, Aime Garza, Rene Garza, Eric Garza; 15 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters; and other loving relatives and friends.
