Rebecca Galvan-Gonzales

Rebecca “Becky” Galvan – Gonzales, age 49.  Beloved wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend has gained her Angel wings on Saturday, June 5, 2021.  Rebecca has left us with beautiful memories that we will all cherish forever.

Rebecca was born November 27, 1971, Houston, Texas to Cecilia Lim and Richard Postel.  She enjoyed life, she loved to entertain, she loved dancing and mostly hanging out with family and friends.

Rebecca is survived by her loving husband, Eloy Gonzales; sons, Raymond Galvan Jr. (Felessia), Ryan Galvan and daughter; Raquel Garcia and grandson, Raylee Galvan, step-children Gabriel Gonzales (Maria), Adam Gonzales (Alejandra) Salina Gonzales. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her brothers Richard Postel, Mac Postel (Erica), George Lim (Lillian), Christopher Lim (Monica) and sisters- in-law; Santos Martinez (Ruben) and Gloria Gonzales and brother-in-law; Albert Gonzales (Norma), nieces and nephews Victoria, Vivian, Ricky, AJ, Angelina, Lauren, Michelle, Skylar, Sierra, Gabriella, Brianna, Chandria, Ian, Aubrey, Allana, Averie and many cousins, aunts, and uncles.  Rebecca was preceded in death by her father, Richard Postel, maternal grandparents Janie and Jimmy Betancourt, paternal grandparents Delfina and Arturo Postel, stepfather; Larry Lim, uncle; Jimmie Betancourt Jr, uncle Richard Betancourt and mother in law Petra Gonzales.

A funeral service will be held in honor of Rebecca to celebrate her beautiful life and loving memories.  Viewing will be held Friday, June 11, 2021, from 10:00am– 3:00pm.  Religious Service will be at 12 noon at Forest Lawn Funeral Home at 8601 Almeda-Genoa Rd. Houston, Texas 77075, with graveside service at 3:30pm.
