Martha passed peacefully on March 28, 2022. Martha was a proud native Texan and loved her home state. She was born in 1954 in the piney woods of east Texas but spent most of her life in Houston and Bellaire where she graduated from Bellaire High School in 1972. She had a passion for history especially Civil War history. This passion extended to genealogy. She spent many hours researching and compiling family history which she generously shared with her family. Her integrity and loyalty earned her respect from her employers whether working as legal secretary or bookkeeper. Her love and loyalty included her family and friends. She was the perfect confidant for niece, nephew, sister and friend. She took our secrets to her grave. We loved her. She was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. Martha had a soft spot in her big heart for animals. If it was within her power, she would move heaven and earth to help an animal in need and did just that many times throughout her life when that situation arose. She is survived by her husband Randy Saunders; sisters Debby Adams and Reynea McPeak; brother-in-law Billy Adams; nieces and nephew Kelley Marosko, Kristi Roney, Kori Adams, Patty Hude, and Gerald McPeak; great nieces and nephews Adam Marosko, Addison Marosko, Wren Roney, Lizzy Hude, Max Hude, Emma Hude and dear friend Susie Eschenburg
