Maria Favela

In loving memory of our mother, Maria Favela, who passed away peacefully, on August 2, 2023, surrounded by family. 
Maria was born in Guatemala, on March 26, 1945, to Guillermo and Emilia Eyssen. Retired from the US Postal Service, after 18 years of service. 
 
Maria was the devoted wife of Alejandro Favela.  Maria was mother to Monica Ramirez, Julio Gomez, and Jessica Castaneda. 
 She Predeceased by her parents Guillermo and Emilia Eyssen, brothers Guillermo Eyssen, Carlos Eyssen and sister Gloria Vasquez.  Maria is survived by her 3 children, Monica, Julio and Jessica.  Maria is survived by her 11 grandchildren.  Giancarlo Martinez, Joshua Martinez, Matthew Ramirez and Kacey Ramirez, (Monica's children).  Samantha Gomez Garcia, Christian Gomez, and Joel Gomez, (Julio's children).  Kiara Castaneda, Jonathan Castaneda, Kayla Castaneda and Viviana Castaneda, (Jessica's children).  Maria is also survived by 9 great grandchildren. Mason Martinez, Jaxon Martinez, Jayne Martinez, Julian Martinez and Matthew Ramirez Jr., (Monica's grandchildren).  Fransisco Garcia Jr., Noelie Garcia, (Julio's grandchildren). Aliyah Maxwell, Alianna Rivers, (Jessica's grandchildren). 
 
Our mother was a kind, caring, giving a woman of strong faith.  Our mother instilled in us the importance of family, hard work, and doing what is right.  Our mother faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity.  Our mother was a source of inspiration to us all and she will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.  Mother, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so 
much. Rest in peace.
 
Memorial Service and funeral will be held at Integrity Funeral Home located at 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd Houston TX 77075, viewing Thursday the 10th from 5:00PM-8:00PM. Funeral on Friday the 11th from 9:00AM-11:00AM.
