Maria Armendariz

Maria Armendariz, 70 years of age, passed on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital surrounded by those who loved her. Maria was born on July 3, 1952 in Harligen , Texas to the late Refugio and Victoria Montelongo and grew up in a large family of six siblings. Maria grew up in a loving and humble family.  She married the love of her life in 1975 and had four children, two preceded her in death.  As a mother, she was kind and loving.  She was accepting of everyone and was always willing to help.  Her motherly love extended to her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She was a devote Catholic, attending Holy Mass every Sunday.  She loved to spend as much time with family.  Maria will be deeply missed by her husband, Jose G. Armendariz, her children, Jose G. Armendariz, Jr. and Angelica Castillo, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and a host of family members and friends.

María Armendáriz, de 70 años de edad, falleció el martes 25 de octubre de 2022 en el Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital rodeada de quienes la querían. María nació el 3 de julio de 1952 en Harligen, Texas, hija del difunto Refugio y Victoria Montelongo, y creció en una familia numerosa de cinco hermanas y un hermano. María creció en una familia amorosa y humilde. Se casó con el amor de su vida en 1975 y tuvo cuatro hijos, dos le precedieron en la muerte. Como madre, era amable y amorosa. Aceptaba a todos y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar. Su amor maternal se extendió a sus ocho nietos y cuatro bisnietos. Era una católica devota que asistía a la Santa Misa todos los domingos. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con la familia. María será profundamente extrañada por su esposo, José G. Armendáriz, sus hijos, José G. Armendáriz, Jr. y Angélica Castillo, 8 nietos, 4 bisnietos, una nuera, un yerno, y una gran cantidad de familiares y amigos.
