Jesus Oliva, Sr.

OLIVA, Jesus “Jesse” Sr., age 53 passed away Monday, April 5, 2021. Jesse Oliva was born in Corpus Christi, Tx raised in Houston, Texas went to Austin High School.  Jesse was well known in “Magnolia Park” as a child he played baseball and football there. He coached the Magnolia Park Sharks, Magnolia Little League, he was involved in Softball in the Greater Houston area. He made “Magnolia Park” his home, raised, coached his children and others in baseball and football. As a member of CT Espanol, he served on the CT Servant Team where he used his many gifts of cooking, driving, mentoring and blessing others. He loved to do bar-b-que benefits and fundraising events for anyone in need. He was very much a part of his community and proved it through his giving and love for others. Jesse was a coach, mentor, giver, community maker utilizing his gifts to help others.. He was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle and  grandfather. He enjoyed his family the most and never met a stranger, his house was everyone’s home and his ears and arms were open to all. He is preceded in death by his father, Epifanio Cruz Oliva.  He is survived by his mother Teresa Castor and step-father Oscar Castor, his children: Jesus (JC) and his wife Kimberly, Joshua, Juan (birddog), Saul, and his daughter: Jessany, Juanita Lira the children’s mother.  GRANDCHILDREN: Jeremiah, Legend, Josiah, Liam,  Giselle and Hazel.  SIBLINGS: Anna, Epifanio Jr and Aurelia , Juan Jose and Jessica, Cecilia and Luis Vega , Rosa Waters, Terri and James Wadley and Denise. Extended siblings Victoria, Velda, Barney and Bernardo. Nieces/Nephews; Hondo, Yolanda, Lucy , Lily, Luis, Aaron, Mariah, Alissa , Tina, Bianca, Chris, Savannah, Rey, Amado, Ivan and Brooke.  He leaves a large family who will feel his loss everyday, but will always remember him with love. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 8:00pm Monday, April 12, 2021, Integrity Funeral Home at Forest Lawn Cemetery located at 8601 Almeda Genoa Rd, Houston, Tx 77075, a viewing will be held from 4 to 8pm with a celebration of life service from 6:00 to 7:00pm. On Tuesday, April 13, 2021, a viewing will be held at CT Church located 9701 Almeda Genoa Rd. Houston, Tx 77075 from 10:00 to 11:00am with A Celebration of Life Service  to begin at 11:00am

For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
