Guy Lawrence Woodward, 93, went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 4, 2022. He was born on March 10, 1929 as the youngest of 8 children to Guy W. and Helen J. Woodward in Stella, MO.

He moved to Sunnyvale, CA as a child and graduated from Fremont High School in Fresno, CA in 1949. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 until 1954 with rank of Staff Sargent. After leaving the Air Force, he was a Pipefitter for the Local 106 in Lake Charles, LA before becoming a member of Local 198 in Baton Rouge, LA. He was a member of United Association of Plumbers and Steamfitters since 1958 and served as a Deacon of First Baptist Church in Sulphur, LA for many years.

He married the love of his life, Betty, on December 13, 1952 and they had a wonderful 65 year marriage until her passing in 2018. They had two daughters that they adored, 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren that they were always doting on.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Earnest, Burl, Clyde, and Claude; sisters: Violet, Irene, and Helen; wife, Betty Woodward; daughter, Susan Juneau; and son-in-law, Randy Cooper.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda Cooper; grandchildren: Brandy Dion and husband Dave, Brooke Divita and husband Dean, Janie Cooper, and Joseph Cooper; great-grandchildren: Dylan Davis, Hailey Snyder, Kyle Divita, Brandon Divita, Ryan Divita, and Caylie Divita; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
