Gabriela Campos

March 24, 1960 — February 26, 2025

Gabriela Campos, a woman whose strength and determination touched the lives of all who knew her, passed away on February 26, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 64. Born on March 24, 1960, in Mexico, Gabriela's journey through life was defined by her unwavering love for her family, her strong personality, and her undeniable humor.

As a custodian at a local hospital, Gabriela embodied kindness and dedication. Her work ethic was a testament to her caring nature; she approached every task with a resolute spirit. Gabriela's life was not just about her career but about the vital role she played as a wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was fiercely protective of her loved ones and advocated for them with all her heart, fighting for their happiness and well-being until her very last breath.

Family was the cornerstone of Gabriela's existence. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jose "Chino" Campos, and their spirited daughters: Jessica "Reniegos" Campos, Norma "Flaca" Luna, and Brenda "Nani Tapón" Avalos. Gabriela shared a special bond with her sons-in-law, Ryan "Naranja" Tanguilan, Mario "Profesor Jirafales" Luna, and Daniel "Cancer" Avalos, who were embraced as family. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Danny "Soruyo" Avalos, Damian "Mamian Flaquito" Luna, Owen "El Niño" Tanguilan, Camila "Cami Girl Bebota" Avalos, each of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Gabriela is predeceased by her beloved mother, Guadalupe Valadez, brother Jose Muñoz, sister Susana Garcia, sister Maria Julieta Castillo, and brother Mario Meza. The family finds comfort in their shared memories and the enduring impact Gabriela has made in their lives. Serving as pallbearers will be her cherished family: Jessica Campos, Norma Luna, Brenda Avalos, Ryan Tanguilan, Mario Luna, Daniel Avalos, Danny Avalos, and Damian Luna, a group bound together by love and respect for the woman who meant the world to them.

Gabriela’s personality shone brightly; she was strong, determined, and sassy. Her ability to speak her mind often resulted in laughter and joy within her family. She had a talent for creating memories, whether through her love for decorating and celebrating holidays or her adventurous thrift shopping trips. Gabriela’s warmth extended to her penchant for giving everyone in her circle delightful nicknames, adding a unique touch to her relationships.

Her legacy will be celebrated during visitation services at Integrity Funeral Home, located in Houston, TX, on March 4th and 5th. During this time, family and friends will come together to honor Gabriela’s life and the indelible mark she has left on their hearts.

Gabriela Campos lived a life filled with purpose, laughter, and an abundance of love. She will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
