Eliseo Silva

Eliseo Salazar Silva passed away surrounded by his loving family Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

Eliseo (Cheo) was born in Mexico to Salvador Silva Silva and Maria Salazar Ayasgoitia, on June 14, 1936.  He met his beloved Yolanda Vega Cavazos in 1955.  They married in 1957.

Eliseo was a hard worker.  But when he was not working, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, hunting and camping.  He had a great love for animals and kept plenty of them at their home (“the zoo”).   And he loved to cook!

His loved ones are comforted knowing he is at peace and healthy again and with family and friends who went before him, including his parents, a brother, Salvador Silva and sister, Graciela Silva; a son, Francisco Eliseo Silva; and Grandson, Desmond A. Silva.

Eliseo is survived by his family who will honor him and take comfort in all the good memories:  his beloved wife, Yolanda; children, Yolanda Luna (Sergio); Miguel Silva (Laura); and Salvador Silva (Roxanne); Niece who was like a Daughter, Maria Silva; Grandchildren, Michael (Diana), Lysette, Jeanette (Mathew), Bianca, Sergio, Jr. (Kim),  Derek, Stephanie, Fabian, Gracie and Tommy; Great Grandchildren, Ariel, Josie, Rayden,  Junior, Mikaela, Sofia, Evan, Lincoln, and Aitana.  The Kids called him “Big Grandpa.”

A private visitation and service will take place Tuesday morning, August 3, at Integrity Funeral Home at Forest Lawn Cemetery.  Interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery will follow the service.
