Elida Martinez

Elida Martinez, age 71, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021, in South Houston, Texas. She was born in Mexico on Saturday, March 4, 1950, to Eduardo Pena and Maria Luisa Trevino.

Elida married Abraham Martinez and they had three children, Abraham Jr., Melba, and Maria. She enjoyed cooking and dancing. She loved traveling mainly to her hometown Zuazua Nuevo León. Elida especially loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren.

Elida was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Elida is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Abraham Javier Martinez Sr.; children, Abraham Martinez Jr. and daughter-in-law, Silvia Martinez, Melba Martinez, Maria Luisa DeLeon and son-in-law, Miguel DeLeon; grandchildren, Johnathan Martinez, Jaylin Martinez, and Aiden Martinez; brothers, Reynaldo Peña Treviño, Jorge Peña Treviño, Eduardo Peña Treviño; sisters, Hermila, Esther, Estelia, Elvia, Juany, Martha, Maria Eugenia; and other loving relatives and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 4:00 pm-8:00 pm with a Rosary recited at 6:30 pm at Integrity Funeral Home, Almeda Genoa Rd., Houston, Texas 77075. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 9:00 am -10:00 am with a Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 am at San Juan Diego Catholic Church, 3301 Pasadena Blvd, Pasadena, TX 77503. A Funeral Procession will follow for interment at Grandview Cemetery, 8501 Spencer Hwy, Pasadena, TX 77505.
