Dora Cortez

Dora Cortez, resident of Dickinson, Texas went to be with the Lord on the evening of April 5, 2023, at home surrounded by family. Born in Laureles ,Texas on December 04, 1946 to parents Roman and Hilaria Gil. Dora worked along side her Son’s in their family business for many years. She was a mighty woman who played an immense part in many people’s lives, Spreading and teaching the Love of God. Dora was tremendously loved as a Mom, Grandma, Sister, Aunt and more. Those who had the honor of knowing her can attest to all the memories filled with laughter and love she leaves behind. She was incredibly special.

Dora is survived by : Sons, Jose Guadalupe Jr. and wife Rebecca Cortez, Roman Cortez and wife Esmeralda Cortez, Fernando Cortez and wife Sandra Margarita Cortez, Roy Cortez and wife Monica Cortez, 31 Grandchildren, 39 Great grandchildren, and 3 Great Great grandchildren.

Brothers, Manuel Gil and wife Juana Maria, Ruben Gil and wife Maria Tomasa, Roberto Gil, Roman Gil, Rodolfo Gil and wife Norma.

Sisters, Isabel Rios and husband Esequiel, Rosalind Rios and husband Guadalupe, Maria Erlinda Benavides and husband Jesse.

Dora was Preceded in death by Parents Roman and Hilaria Gil, Husband Jose Guadalupe Cortez Sr., Sister Isabel Gil, Brother Uvaldo Gil and Sons Juan Cortez Sr. and Rodolfo Cortez.

She’s bowing before the king of kings and Lord of Lords shouting “GLORY!!!” to her Jesus.
