Baldemar Alfaro, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025, in McAllen, Texas, at the age of 85. Born on June 6, 1939, in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, Baldemar brought warmth and joy to all who knew him. Baldemar was a long-time resident of Houston, Texas.

Baldemar was known for his deep commitment to family and his relentless passion for coaching little league baseball. He devoted countless hours to guiding his sons' teams, instilling not only skills on the field but also important life lessons that would resonate far beyond the diamond. His ability to connect with his players and inspire them was a testament to his generous spirit and enthusiasm for the game.

Away from the field, Baldemar was an exceptional pool player, known for his skill and precision. His collection of trophies reflected his dedication and talent, and there was no tournament he missed. Every game was a chance for Baldemar to shine, and his contagious laughter filled the halls of the billiard halls he frequented. Alongside this passion, he cherished the quiet moments spent fishing, where he found peace and the joy of nature.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Dolores Alfaro; siblings Esteban Alfaro, Jr., Gil Alfaro, Maria Alfaro, and Dolores Pena; and his son, Esteban Alfaro, along with his cherished grandson, Shane Lee DeLeon. Their memories will live on in the stories shared by his family, ensuring that Baldemar's spirit continues to inspire those he loved.

Baldemar's legacy continues to thrive through his loving wife, Alicia Serna Alfaro, and their four children: Aurora Alfaro DeLeon, Miguel Angel Alfaro, Ricardo Alfaro, and Irene Guzman. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, including Marina Tatum, Moses Lee DeLeon, Daniel DeLeon, Adam DeLeon, Victoria Guzman, Vanessa Guzman, Valerie Guzman, Ariel Mata, Janelle Alfaro, Janice Alfaro, Jaleen Alfaro, Priscilla Alvarez, Ricardo Alfaro, Jr., and Abraham Alfaro. In addition, he enjoyed the immense joy of being a great grandfather to 21 great-grandchildren.

Baldemar also leaves behind his brothers, Miguel Alfaro, Eduardo Alfaro, Antonio Alfaro, Arsenio Alfaro, Erasmo Alfaro and his beloved sister, Guadalupe Alfaro whose bonds of love were strengthened through shared memories and support over the years.
