Aristeo Arriaga Villanueva best known as “Rene” foodie & an impeccable dresser in his prime, died unexpectedly Sunday, January 9, 2022.
Born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila to parents Ignacia Villanueva De Arriaga and Andres Arriaga Cibran, where his old friends knew him as “Teo de la 28”.
Rene was a character in his own right and talkative to say the least. He never met a stranger. He was energetic, full of life and always in “go” mode helping everyone and anyone he could, especially a stranger in distress. Rene had a BIG giving heart.
He was an avid sports fanatic & loved all sports. As kids he would always take us to Astros games and take a bugle. He would blow the horn and get everyone to yell “CHARRRRRRGE!” throughout the game. He left an imprint for the love of sports in each of his children’s heart. And let’s not forget to mention his LOVE for the Houston Rodeo.
Rene was preceded in death by his parents and Grandson Yuhryah Rene Arriaga. He is survived by his wife Rebecca, children & their spouses Javier (Guadalupe), Cynthia (Joe), Mary (Mark), Kathy, Angie (Jorge), Sue Ann (Ruben), Deborah, 19 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren.
