Amalia Cantu

Amalia Cantu passed away on February 4, 2021 in Houston, Texas after reaching the age of 74.

She was born on March 9, 1946 in Zuazua, Nuevo Leon to Matias Martinez and Manuela Martinez. Amalia was the middle child of nine and spent her life in Zuazua until 1970 when she married her husband, Jesus Maria Cantu, and moved to Houston, Texas to start their life together.

Amalia later gave birth to four beautiful children, Maria Adrianna Cantu, Jose Leonel Cantu, Sylvia Cantu and Marcia Cantu. She had eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren who adored her.

Amalia was seen as a loving person who always put people before her, especially her family. She was very charitable and truly enjoyed helping others when she could. She was known to have many nieces and nephews because everyone saw her as their own aunt and admired her deeply.

Amalia enjoyed spending her free time playing cards with her many friends, and spent most of her time with her family.
