Abraham C. Hernandez

Abraham C. Hernandez age 62, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 in El Cenizo, TX. He was born on April 26, 1961 in San Pierre, Indiana to Marcelino and Dolores Hernandez. Abraham started working at the age of fourteen years old and received his hardship license so he could work. He was a dedicated worker throughout his whole life & worked as a painter contractor for over 40 years in the Houston area before retiring in April 2023.

Abraham developed a passion for music at an early age and received numerous awards for playing the trumpet and guitar. He enjoyed watching television and working on his vehicles. Abraham also enjoyed reading and researching the latest news, technology, etc. There wasn’t a topic, movie, artist, or word to a song that he didn’t know. 

Abraham is survived by his father Marcelino Hernandez and his two children: Abraham Hernandez Jr. and wife Cristina Cooper Hernandez, Lissa Hernandez- Barcenas and her husband Francisco (Paco) Barcenas.

He will always be remembered as Grandpa by his grandkids: Destini (Didi) Valdez, Chloe Valdez, Zach Valdez, Alana Hernandez, Jaydan Valdez, Cathleena (Leena) & Alivia Hernandez.

Step Grandkids: Joscelyne, Valerie, Alayna & Madalyne Barcenas.

Great Grandkids: Jaxon Bryant, Ja’siah & Isaiah Lopez

Siblings: Victor Hernandez, Dolores De La Cruz and Ruth Beasley

Abraham is preceded in death by his mother, Dolores Hernandez, brother Marcelino Hernandez Jr. and sister Graciela Rodriguez.
